The Competition
Everything you need to prepare, perform and enter Bravura 2026.
Regional Heats
The Bravura journey begins with an online video submission. Competitors perform one piece appropriate to their selected division and receive a professional adjudication report and certificate. Selected pianists will be invited to progress to the live Semi-Finals.
Entry Requirements

One Piece
Submit one complete piece suitable for the competitor’s selected division. The performance must remain within the published time limit.

Video Submission
Provide a working link to an unlisted YouTube video. The competitor and piano should remain clearly visible throughout the performance.

Appropriate Division
Enter the division that best reflects the level of the chosen repertoire, from Preparatory through to AMEB Grade 8.
Regional Entry Fee
$35 per competitor, inclusive of GST. Each entry includes professional adjudication, a digital certificate and consideration for progression to the live Semi-Finals.
The Live Rounds

Semi-Finals
Selected competitors will perform live at Wentworth Falls School of Arts on Sunday, 25 October 2026. Competitors perform the same piece submitted for the Regional Heats.

Grand Final
Grand Finalists return to the stage on Sunday, 22 November 2026. Finalists prepare and perform a new piece for the final round.
Become a Bravura Studio
Bring your students to Bravura.
Piano teachers and studios entering three or more students in the 2026 Regional Heats will be recognised as an Inaugural Bravura Studio.
Inaugural Bravura Studios will receive an official 2026 Bravura Studio digital badge, a Bravura Studio certificate, recognition on the Bravura website, and opportunities to have their studio and students featured across Bravura social media.
No separate registration is required. Studios automatically qualify when three or more competitors nominate the same teacher or studio on their entry.
Competition Questions
Can competitors use sheet music?
Yes. Competitors may perform from memory or use sheet music.
Do Semi-Finalists perform the same piece?
Yes. Competitors invited to the Semi-Finals perform the same piece submitted for the Regional Heats.
Do Grand Finalists perform a new piece?
Yes. Grand Finalists must prepare a new piece for the final round.
Will every entrant receive feedback?
Yes. Every Regional entrant receives a professional adjudication report and certificate.
Does entering guarantee progression?
No. Invitations to the Semi-Finals and Grand Final are awarded separately at the adjudicator’s discretion.
