Regional Entry Conditions
Eligibility and divisions
Bravura Piano Competition is open to pianists entering Preparatory, Preliminary or AMEB Grade 1–8 divisions. Competitors must select the division that most accurately reflects the level of their chosen repertoire.
Entry fee
The Regional entry fee is $35 per competitor, inclusive of GST. A separate entry and payment are required for each performance submitted.
Closing date
Regional entries must be received by 11:59 pm AEST on 27 September 2026. Late or incomplete entries may not be accepted.
Information provided
The entrant, or their parent or guardian, is responsible for ensuring all names, contact details, repertoire information and video links are complete and correct.
Performance and Adjudication
Repertoire
Competitors must submit one complete piece appropriate to their selected division. Performances exceeding a published time limit may be stopped or assessed only to the permitted duration.
Sheet music
Competitors may perform from memory or use sheet music. Performing from memory does not automatically result in a higher award.
Video submission
The submitted video link must remain accessible throughout the adjudication period. The competitor and piano must be clearly visible, and the performance must be presented as one continuous, unedited recording.
Adjudication
Every eligible Regional entry receives a professional adjudication report and digital certificate. Awards and progression decisions are made at the adjudicator’s discretion.
Progression, Photography and Conduct
Progression
Entering the Regional Heats does not guarantee progression. Selected competitors will receive a separate invitation to the Semi-Finals. Semi-Finalists perform the same piece submitted for the Regional Heats, while Grand Finalists prepare a new piece.
Photography and recording
Photography and video recording may take place during Bravura events for documentation and promotional purposes. Families who do not consent must notify Bravura in writing before the relevant event.
Behaviour and event requirements
Competitors and accompanying guests must follow venue instructions, audience etiquette and event schedules. Disruptive, disrespectful or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the event.
Acceptance of conditions
Submitting an entry confirms that the entrant, or their parent or guardian, has read and accepted these Competition Rules and Entry Conditions.
