Regional Heats

How much does it cost to enter?

Regional entry is $35 per competitor, inclusive of GST.

How are entries submitted?

Regional entries are submitted online using a working unlisted YouTube video link.

When do entries close?

Entries close at 11:59 pm AEST on 27 September 2026.

Does every entrant receive feedback?

Yes. Every Regional entrant receives a professional adjudication report and certificate.

Performance Requirements

Can competitors use sheet music?

Yes. Competitors may perform from memory or use sheet music.

How many pieces are required?

One complete piece is required for the Regional Heats.

Which division should I select?

Select the division that most accurately reflects the standard of the competitor’s chosen repertoire, from Preparatory through to Grade 8.

Bravura is open to all piano students, regardless of syllabus or examination board. Grade levels are benchmarked against AMEB standards simply to provide teachers and students with a familiar reference point. Competitors do not need to be studying AMEB or preparing for an AMEB examination.

Can a competitor enter more than once?

No. Competitors may enter once per stage of the competition. Each competitor submits one performance in their chosen division for the Regional round. Competitors who progress will then perform once in each subsequent stage.

Progression and Live Rounds

Do Semi-Finalists perform the same piece?

Yes. Semi-Finalists perform the same piece submitted for the Regional Heats.

Do Grand Finalists perform a new piece?

Yes. Grand Finalists must prepare a new piece for the final round.

Where are the Semi-Finals held?

The Semi-Finals are held live at Wentworth Falls School of Arts on 25 October 2026.
